Night 1 : Hanoi old quarter to Train station
The tour begins between 08:00 – 08:30 PM with a bus or taxi transfer to the railway station in Hanoi where you will catch the night train to Lao Cai.
Accommodation: Overnight on train to Sapa with Deluxe 4 bed per cabin train.
Day 1 ( night 2 ): Sapa – Cat Cat village ( B,L,D )
Activities: Have breakfast in Sapa Town, speak to locals at Cat Cat Village, admire a waterfall and head back to Sapa Town.
Accommodation: The hotel in Sapa with standard hotel ( Sapa Unique/ Vista / Panorama Hotel)
You will arrive at the Lao Cai Station between 05:00 – 07:30 AM. There you will meet the Sapa bus guide and transfer to Sapa town. After having breakfast and a shower, you will start the half-day walk to Cat Cat village occupied by the Black H’Mong tribe. You will experience the tribal way of life while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat.
After the walk, you will be back to the Sapa Summit Hotel at around noon to check-in and be on time for lunch (11:00 AM – 02:00 PM) in the hotel restaurant. For the rest of the afternoon, you will be free to explore Sapa town on your own. Dinner will be in the hotel restaurant from 04:00 – 08:00 PM. You will spend the night in the Sapa Hotel.
Day 2 ( nights 3 ): Sapa – Lao Chai/Ta Van village ( B,L,D )
Activities: Have breakfast in Sapa Hotel, speak to locals at Lao Chai Village, experience the culture in Ta Van village and head back to Sapa Town.
Accommodation: Homestay in Sapa
After having breakfast and a shower, you will check out of your room at the hotel and leave your luggage in the luggage storage room to prepare for your trek. You will only need to bring a change of clothing, trekking gear and toiletries for your stay at the village homestay. At around 09:00 AM you will begin your 12 km trek on small trails down the Muong Hoa Valley towards the Black H’Mong village of Lao Chai.
The Muong Hoa Valley contains some of the most beautiful views of rice paddy fields in Asia. After having lunch along the Muong Hoa river in Lao Chai, you will continue along the bottom of the valley to get to the Dzay tribe village of Ta Van to experience their way of life while staying in a local family’s cottage.
Day 3 ( night 4): Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Lao Cai ( B,L,D )
Activities: Have breakfast in the village homestay, a short trek to Giang Ta Chai village before returning to Hanoi by train
Accommodation: Overnight on train to Hanoi
After having breakfast in the village homestay, you will begin your trek to Giang Ta Chai of the Red Dzao tribe. You can experience the difference between the way of life of the different tribes. You will have lunch in the village before you continue your trek through the amazing scenery and to the beautiful waterfall.
At around 02:00 PM you will be picked up from the main road to take a ride back to the Sapa Hotel. Along the way you may stop to take photos of the fabulous valley on the route.
When you arrive in Sapa, you will have enough time to freshen up with a shower and have dinner in the Sapa Restaurant before catching the bus back to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi between 05:00 – 06:30 AM at the Tran Quy Cap train station.

Things to bring

Warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in September, October, November, December, January, February and March

Due to altitude of Sapa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March.

Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong because banking system in Sapa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sapa.
