Overview
Tam Coc is considered as the most attractive destination in Ninh Binh, also known as other name “Halong bay on land”. Tam Coc (literally meaning Three Caves) include Hang Ca (first cave), Hang Hai (second cave) and Hang Ba (third cave).
Bich Dong is the place that was called ‘The Second Nicest Grotto in Vietnam”. There are three pagodas on this mountain: Lower Pagoda, Middle Pagoda (Bich Dong Pagoda) and Upper Pagoda. Visitors often visit the first and the second ones, but if you can trek all the way up for the view.
Itinerary
08:00 am – 08:30 am: Our bus and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter then depart to Ninh Binh.
10:30 am: Arrive at Ninh Binh province. Our first stop is the former capital “Hoa Lu” and the remains of Dinh and Le Kings’ temples.
11:00 am: Visit the excavation area beside the Le Dai Hanh temple. You experience the vestiges of Royal Palaces ground dated back 10th century.
12:00 pm: Go back to the bus and drive to Tam Coc. Have lunch in a local restaurant in Tam Coc.
13.00 pm: Board the sampan boats (2 people share a boat) in Tam Coc dock to drift down the river among the villages, mountains and lush rice fields. Passing through 3 caves “Hang Ca – First cave, Hang Hai -Second cave, Hang Ba – Third cave” to get a strange feeling.
15:30 pm: Visit Bich Dong Cave, only 2 km far from Tam Coc. It is well known for unique combining beauty of mountains, river, pagoda and caves. Bich Dong cave is a perfect place enjoy peaceful wild.
16:30 pm: Go back to the bus and return to Hanoi.
19:00 pm: Arrive in Hanoi. Tour ends.
